Subject: Beatin' The Heat

Mid-Summer and the living is easy? Not from the people I talk with--the living is tough. Many are experiencing the effects of the shrinking dollar, the sour job market, and the expanding prices of every item under the sun. I hear ads for those suffering from depression and wonder "who isn't, to some degree?" with this economy, the seemingly endless wars the USA is currently involved to various degrees around the world, the daily "bad news". Hard to look for the positive. During another war time there was a popular song:

"Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile, smile, smile."

I don't know exactly what a "kit bag" is--maybe a duffle bag? I think I'll just pack mine in an envelope and send them FedEx to Tasmania to keep their little devils company. ;-)

I'm off into the hot, Hot, HOT here to mow the back grass and weeds--er, lovely lawn. Hope you are comfy and can beat the heat of the economy wherever you are.
