Subject: Robert Burns
Mood: Hopeful
Happy 2008! We have Robert Burns to thank for the nostalgic Auld Lang Syne, penned in 1788:
Should auld acqaintance be forgot, And never brough to min'?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And days o' auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear, For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet For auld lang syne!
That song's such a part of our New Year's Eve celebration. As the old year fades and the new year rises, I want to share another quote with you:
How wonderful that memory can capture every scene
of very special times gone by and keep them ever green. (Author unknown)
So I raise a cup o' kindness to each of you who are reading this. I wish for you all the blessings and your heart's fondness dreams to come true this New Year's Eve/Day and throughout the new year!
